Meet Mr. Fidelis, one of our June cohort students, who just got a job on Upwork🔥🔥🔥

And guess what? This happened within days of our Job Application Challenge prep class.

On Sunday, we had a practical session where I taught our students how to approach job applications, interpret job descriptions, write proposals, position themselves for opportunities, and more.

But do you know what Mr. Fidelis did differently❓

AS I WAS OPENING UPWORK AND TEACHING, HE WAS OPENING HIS OWN UPWORK TOO, very intentional man😂😂😂

He wasn't just listening and taking notes. He was implementing what I was teaching them right there.

From his message, he said..
“On Tuesday I got an invite and today I have the job.”

Just like that, he went from attending our 6-Week Hands-on Medical Virtual Assistant Simulation training, and the JAC preparatory class on Sunday to receiving an Upwork invitation on Tuesday and getting a job offer today

“Coach, will you teach us real HIPAA? Like, will we use a real HIPAA system to teach us how to work on a HIPAA system❓”

I get this question more often than you might think. And it tells me that a lot of people don't actually understand what HIPAA is.

First, know that 𝙃𝙄𝙋𝘼𝘼 𝙄𝙎 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝘼 𝙎𝙊𝙁𝙏𝙒𝘼𝙍𝙀❌

There is no “HIPAA system” you log into where someone teaches you to click here, and click there.
No, there is no system like that for HIPAA.

𝙃𝙄𝙋𝘼𝘼 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙐.𝙎. 𝙛𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙬.

And it establishes rules around how protected patient health information is used, disclosed and safeguarded in healthcare.

Now, imagine like this…

That's the mindset you need with HIPAA…….You don’t learn HIPAA like you would learn how to do Medical billing using healthcare billing softwares. Instead, you are meant to study it, be aware of it and make sure you don’t violate it.

As a Medical VA, you will have access to sensitive patient information. So you need to understand…

- What information is protected❓
- Who can you share it with❓
- When can information be disclosed❓
- How should patient information be handled?❓
- What should you do when working with electronic patient information❓
- And what actions could put patient information at risk❓

These are not things you learn by cramming where to click inside a particular software.

You learn the principles & requirements, and then apply them to the work you do every day as a MedVA.

That's why at Clinix Support Academy, we don't tell you, “Today we're logging into the HIPAA system”, and that’s because there is no such thing.

We teach you what HIPAA means, how it affects your work as a Medical VA, how to handle patient information responsibly while working in a healthcare environment, and everything you need to know about HIPAA.

Because when you work with an EHR, scheduling system, billing platform, email, patient records or any other tool containing PHI, HIPAA awareness needs to follow you into every task you perform in each of these platforms every day.

“MY JOB DOESN’T GIVE ME CHANCE‼️”

I hear this a lot from people who are interested in joining our training to become Medical VAs…

Their major objection is “ I honestly wish I could join this training, but I can't because my job will not give me the chance to”

And honestly, sometimes I have to wonder and also ask them…
𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙟𝙤𝙗 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙤 𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚❓

Every day you wake up, rush to work, give your time, your brain, your energy, your skills, and your expertise to someone else's business.

You do this consistently for weeks, months, and years, and at the end, you will receive 100k as salary in the whole 30 days

I have someone who told me some time ago that she has been working in her current place of work for 17 years, and in these whole 17 years her salary has been 120k

And I’m like, are you kidding me❓
120k every month for the entire 17 solid years❓

Some of you have sacrificed almost half of your entire existence doing this from year to year.

But when it comes to investing a few hours daily into yourself, like learning a new skill, building another income stream, or preparing yourself for better opportunities, suddenly, there is no time.

I'm not saying you should abandon your job ooooo
I'm saying you shouldn't allow your current job to become the reason you never build anything beyond it, at least for your future self.

Well, I understand that this is the reality of many 9-5 and 7-5 workers, that is why Clinix Support Academy, all our Medical VA training sessions are live and recorded.

The live sessions give you the opportunity to participate, ask questions, and learn with other students.

And if your work schedule makes it impossible to attend the live sessions, you have the recordings to fall back on.

But let me be honest with you………The recordings won't change your life if you don’t watch them and practice what you’re taught...

So, whether you’ll be attending the live sessions or using the recordings, know that you must find a way to make your job allow you to learn because definitely….
You still have to learn, practise, and do the work.
