I just watched a video, and it took me back to so many moments in my own life. One thing I always tell people is this...
If you're scared of trying again because something didn't work the first time, you'll never discover what could have worked the 2nd, 3rd, or even 10th time.
The truth is...anyone who will come out to say they've never failed in their entire life will obviously not be telling the truth.
Me, I've failed ooooo, I have failed many times.
Just last year, I ventured into importing raw skincare materials. I lost about ₦5 million.
That same year, I partnered with two people on a project that cost over 40M +
I was the one who brought the idea.......I believed in it so much that I contributed about 70% of the entire capital.....The other two partners brought the remaining 30%.
Unfortunately, greed got in the way, and the project collapsed...... and I lost my money.
Not only that...Part of the money I contributed wasn't even mine. I borrowed some part from people to complete my contribution.
So after losing the investment, I still had to pay people back.
It wasn't easy at all oooo. In fact, I locked myself in my room and criiiiiiiied.....But did I stop trying again❓️
NO.
I kept moving.....I kept building.....I kept trying...... And I will keep trying until I get EXACTLY what I want.
That's why whenever I want to start anything today, I remind myself that two things are involved...
1) "This can work."
2) "This can also fail."
No, this is not me being neg@tive, I'm just being realistic to myself because both can be true.
Being optimistic & believing in success doesn't mean pretending failure is impossible.
Being aware that failure can happen doesn't mean you've given up.....It simply means you're realistic.
The same thing happened in my remote work journey.
Before Medical Virtual Assistance, I tried different remote work paths.....Some didn't work for me, some paid me small, some didn't pay at all......Some were completely dead on arrival😂😂
Now, imagine if I had concluded that remote work wasn't real or wasn't for me because my first few attempts failed, I wouldn't be where I am today.
Everything you see me building today...Every new idea...Every new project...Every investment...
Remote work funded them all.
Again, imagine if I had quit after the first disappointment.
Even when it came to learning, I spent money on courses that didn't give me what I needed......Some of those courses were from international coaches, which means I paid in dollars.
Some turned out to be disappointing.....Just a week ago, I paid 100k for a sales training.
Do you know what I got❓️
A PDF with almost 400 pages(393 pages)😂😂
That wasn't the practical learning experience I was expecting because, with what was promoted, I thought it was going to be a proper teaching.
Now, the money is gone.
But does that mean I'll stop investing in learning❓️
Capital NO.
If I find another training that will genuinely teach me what I need, I'll still pay for it. Because that's how I eventually found Medical Virtual Assistance.
I kept learning, kept searching, kept trying until I finally found what worked for me.
So if you're reading this because something you've tried didn't work and you've given up never to try again...
My dear, I understand....Your fear is VALID.
Nobody enjoys losing money.....Nobody enjoys failing......Nobody enjoys starting over.
But please don't make that failure the final chapter of your story, because sometimes, success is not waiting for the smartest person......It's waiting for the one who refuses to stop.
One day, you'll look back at everything that didn't work and realise they weren't wasted efforts.....They were preparing you for the one thing that finally did.
Don't quit because it didn't work the first time.....Keep learning......Keep improving......Keep showing up.
One day, you'll become the person encouraging someone else not to give up.
