Most people eat the pineapple…

But did you know the fruit isn’t the only valuable part? 🍍👀

The sweet flesh.
The rough skin.
The leafy crown.

Each contains different natural compounds, and for generations, different cultures have found unique ways to use them.

Nature rarely creates waste. Sometimes, what we throw away deserves a second look.

Now I’m curious…

When you buy a pineapple, what do you do with the skin and the crown?

🍍 Eat the fruit and throw them away?
🍵 Use the skin for tea?
🌱 Plant the crown?
🤔 Or do you have another use?

Let’s learn from each other in the comments. I’m reading every response. 👇🏽❤️

PREKESE. UYAYAK. AIDAN FRUIT. 🌿

One plant.
Different names.
The same quiet respect across generations.

Across many West African cultures, it has traditionally been associated with cleansing, renewal, protection, peace, abundance, and fresh beginnings. It wasn’t uncommon to find it used during postpartum recovery, in nourishing soups, during periods of transition, or alongside prayers and traditional practices.

Today, modern research is beginning to explore what traditional communities have known through experience.

Studies suggest that Prekese contains natural antioxidants and beneficial plant compounds that may:
🌿 Help protect the body against oxidative stress.
🌿 Support healthy digestion.
🌿 Promote the body’s natural inflammatory response.
🌿 Exhibit antimicrobial activity against certain microorganisms in laboratory studies.
🌿 Contribute to overall wellness when enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.

Our ancestors didn’t preserve these plants because they lacked options.
They preserved them because they found value in them.

Perhaps the greatest lesson is this:

Before dismissing what is old, take time to understand why it survived for generations.

Bonus: If you sense any form of stagnation and negative spirits/energy in your home. Burn 3pieces at 3am for 3days with Psalm 3 and psalm 91.

Nature still has stories to tell, if we’re willing to listen.

If this leaf could speak, it would tell stories modern medicine never heard. 🌿 This is Ewe Abamoda a leaf that has been treasured in traditional homes for generations.

Sometimes, the greatest treasures aren’t hidden in distant lands. They’re quietly growing in our own backyard.

Nature has always been speaking. The question is… are we listening?

There is a reason certain things have stood the test of time.

Palm kernel oil is one of those ancient gifts that has remained part of African homes for generations. Beyond being an everyday oil, it has long been included in traditional body care, herbal preparations, cultural rites, and moments of prayer and reflection.

Our ancestors did not preserve every practice without reason. They observed nature, respected creation, and passed down knowledge they believed was worth keeping.

Today, many of us are quick to embrace what is foreign while forgetting that wisdom also existed long before us.

Returning to the old paths does not mean abandoning wisdom or faith. It means learning, understanding, and appreciating the knowledge that has shaped generations.

If you are experiencing near success syndrome, slowness and stagnation.
Use a drop on your tongue and a drop on your belly button.

Command and decree the exact thing needed.

Sometimes, the future begins by remembering what our ancestors refused to forget. 🤲🏽🌿

Not every healing journey starts with a capsule.

Sometimes, it begins with understanding the wisdom nature has carried for generations.

These are natural materials I frequently work with as part of my transformational healing practice. Each has its own history, purpose, and traditional significance but knowing what they are is only the beginning. Knowing when, why, and how they should be used is what truly matters.

Which of these have you heard of before?

🌿 Aidan
🌶️ Alligator Pepper
🌿 Iginla
🌿 Èpò Òbò
🧂 Sea Salt
👁️ Oju ologbo
🌿 Frankincense

Have you ever whispered those words?

(“I’ve been praying… but nothing is changing.”)

Not every delayed prayer is a punishment.
Not every silence means you’ve been forgotten.

Sometimes the greatest answer to prayer isn’t an immediate miracle - it’s a deeper transformation.

Before you conclude that heaven is silent, ask yourself:

* Am I aligned with what I’m praying for?
* Is this season preparing me?
* Is there something I need to heal, release, or confront?
* Am I only willing to accept the answer I want?

Prayer changes more than situations.
It changes the person who is praying.

Watch this carousel with an open heart, not to find someone to blame, but to find a reason to reflect.

Which of these five points challenged you the most?
