Today, the Ikale Medical Students’ Union (IMSU) paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Ogunsola the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Okitipupa Specialist Hospital as part of its ongoing engagement with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

The purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the Union, share its vision, and strengthen relationships that will promote medical education, professional development, and quality healthcare delivery within the Ikale community and beyond. During the meeting, the leadership of IMSU highlighted the Union’s commitment to academic excellence, ethical medical practice, community health awareness, and the grooming of disciplined and visionary medical professionals.

The CMD warmly received the delegation and commended the Union for its organization, clarity of purpose, and proactive approach to leadership. He encouraged the students to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their academic and professional goals despite the challenges associated with medical training. He also emphasized the importance of integrity, compassion, and continuous learning in the medical profession.

Furthermore, the CMD expressed his belief in the vision and mission of IMSU and assured the Union of his moral and professional support. He stressed the importance of collaboration between medical students and healthcare institutions, noting that such partnerships play a vital role in producing competent healthcare professionals and improving health outcomes in the community.

The Ikale Medical Students’ Union(IMSU) hereby wishes to inform the general public of a successful courtesy visit paid to His Royal Majesty, The Jegun of Idepe Okitipupa Kingdom, Oba Obatuga Micheal Adetoye

The visit was undertaken as part of the Association’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with traditional institutions and key stakeholders within Ikaleland. During the meeting, the leadership of the Association formally presented the vision, objectives, and mission of IMSU, with particular emphasis on our dedication to academic excellence, professional development, and service to humanity.

His Royal Highness received the delegation with great warmth and joy. He offered invaluable words of wisdom and encouragement, stressing the importance of quality education, discipline, and unwavering commitment to one’s values. The Monarch further charged the Association to remain steadfast in its convictions and to uphold the ideals that will contribute positively to the development of the community and the medical profession at large.

The Association expresses its profound gratitude to His Royal Highness for the fatherly reception, guidance, and prayers offered to the delegation. Such support further strengthens our resolve to pursue excellence and to serve Ikaleland and society with integrity.
