OEYC INAUGURATES OMOTAYO/PASOCARE YOUTH EXECUTIVES, ADVOCATES PEACE AND COMMUNITY
The Ondo Ekimogun Youth Congress (OEYC), under the leadership of its President, Engr. Folajogun Kayode, on Wednesday successfully inaugurated the newly elected Omotayo/Pasocare Youth Executives led by Comrade Adu Temitope, reaffirming its commitment to grassroots leadership, youth empowerment, community security, and sustainable development across Ondo Kingdom.
The colourful ceremony attracted notable personalities, including the Chairman of the ODC Security Committee, Prince Adetosoye; the Divisional Police Officer (D.P.O.), Yaba Division; the Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Mr. Fambegbe; the Secretary of Ondo West Local Government, Mrs. Erelu; members of the OEYC Executive Council; the Yaba Youth Executive led by its President; the Ajagbale Youth Executive led by its President; the immediate past Chairman of Omotayo/Pasocare Youth; the Landlords and Landladies Association; and other respected community leaders and stakeholders.
In his keynote remarks, Prince Adetosoye underscored the critical role of community-based security and urged the newly inaugurated executives to collaborate with security agencies and relevant stakeholders in promoting peace, vigilance, and safety within their neighbourhood. Similar goodwill messages were delivered by the D.P.O., Yaba Division, the PCRC Chairman, and the OEYC President, all of whom stressed that youth organizations remain indispensable partners in community development, social cohesion, and nation-building.
Speaking further, Engr. Folajogun Kayode charged the executives to uphold the principles of accountability, unity, discipline, and selfless service. He encouraged them to foster peaceful coexistence, work in harmony with community leaders, and champion initiatives that will positively impact the lives of residents.
A major highlight of the event was the official launch of the Omotayo/Pasocare Street Solar Light Project, unveiled as the first developmental project of the newly inaugurated administration. The initiative received financial support and pledges from stakeholders present at the event. In a further demonstration of OEYC's commitment to community development, the President pledged to incorporate Omotayo/Pasocare Street into the ongoing OEYC Street Solar Light Project.
The Ondo Ekimogun Youth Congress congratulates the newly inaugurated executives and expresses confidence in their ability to provide purposeful and visionary leadership. The Association encourages them to maintain a cordial working relationship with the Landlords and Landladies Association, government agencies, security institutions, fellow youth organizations across Ondo Kingdom under the umbrella of OEYC, and the entire community in pursuit of sustainable growth and development.
The OEYC remains steadfast in its mission to build responsible youth leadership, promote peaceful coexistence, and drive meaningful community development throughout Ondo Kingdom.
