🚽 The Colour of Your Urine Is Trying to Tell You Something
Did you know one of the easiest ways to check on your health is something you do every day?
Take a look before you flush.
The colour of your urine can provide important clues about your hydration status and, in some cases, signal that something needs medical attention.
Here’s what the different colours may mean:
💧 Clear
You may be drinking a lot of water. While good hydration is important, persistently clear urine may sometimes mean you’re drinking more fluid than your body needs.
💛 Pale Yellow
This is generally considered a sign of good hydration. Your body is likely getting the fluids it needs.
🟡 Dark Yellow
Your body may be asking for more water. Mild dehydration is a common cause of darker urine.
🟠 Orange
This can occur with dehydration, certain foods, vitamins, or medications. If it continues or is accompanied by other symptoms, it’s worth discussing with a healthcare professional.
🔴 Red
Red urine may be caused by blood, certain foods (such as beetroot), or some medications. Because blood in the urine can indicate a serious medical condition, it should always be assessed promptly by a healthcare professional.
🤎 Brown
Brown urine may occur with severe dehydration, certain medications, liver conditions, or other medical problems. Persistent brown urine should be medically evaluated.
Your body sends signals every day.
The question is…
Are you paying attention?
Don’t ignore persistent changes in your urine colour, especially if they occur alongside pain, fever, burning during urination, swelling, or other concerning symptoms.
Early attention can make a significant difference.
