And yet, every day in Nigeria, patients are taking antibiotics for a disease nobody confirmed they have.

I lost a friend this week. All because I refused to work for free.

He called with lab results and wanted me to interpret them over the phone. No history. No proper review. Just, “you are a doctor, just tell me what it means.”

I told him to book a consultation with me properly.
He felt insulted.

But here is the thing, this same person has never once given me a free service from his own business. Not once, and I never expected it.

Doctors, your knowledge is not a favor.

Did you know your tongue can tell you something is wrong with your body, even before you feel sick?

Most people never think about their tongue until it hurts. But doctors do.

Here is what we look for:
🤍 Pale or white: could mean anaemia or a fungal infection
❤️ Bright red: could mean vitamin deficiency or infection
🟡 Yellow: possible liver or gallbladder issue
🟤 Brown or black: usually bacteria from smoking or antibiotics

A healthy tongue should be pink, moist and pain free.
If yours looks different and has looked that way for more than two weeks, please see a doctor.
