From plastic bottles discarded on our streets to a massive 5 million Naira victory on the grand stage: our founder’s vision has officially made history.

A few weeks ago, I shared that something big was coming, and I am beyond proud to officially report that the journey has come full circle.

Representing Anambra State at the prestigious Innovation Naija contest, our team at Stemme Baby Care stepped up with a bold, game-changing idea: turning everyday plastic waste into safe, premium baby bed production.

Today, that vision met monumental support. During the official award ceremony, our founder was awarded a total of 5 million Naira in prize grants: split equally with 2.5 million Naira courtesy of NASENI and another 2.5 million Naira from the Anambra State Government.

Milestones like this are built on relentless dedication, but they also rely on a community that believes in the mission. A profound debt of gratitude goes to NASENI, Afrilab, and His Excellency, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, for backing sustainable innovations that genuinely protect our environment and elevate families.

And to everyone who showed up, voted, and cheered us on when we asked for your support: you didn't just cast a vote. You helped validate a dream to redefine safe infant sleep and sustainable manufacturing right here at home.

This recognition isn't just an award; it’s rocket fuel for what we do every single day at Stemme Baby Care. We are just getting started.

"When we started with that single N4,500 baby bed, the goal wasn't just to make a sale; it was to create something safe and truly reliable for families"

That mindset is what transformed Stemme Baby Care from a small vision into a recognized brand that has now supplied over 250,000 units to homes across the nation.

Behind this journey is our CEO, Chinonso Obiagwu whose dedication to innovation and quality has earned national and international recognition.

A Few Milestones Along the Journey:
- Winner of the InnovateNaija Challenge( Anambra State), representing at the national competition in Abuja this October.
- Alumnus & Beneficiary of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, YouWin!, and Bank of Industry (YES) Programme.
-Certified by the Standard Organization of Nigeria(SON).
- Part of the inaugural Aba Export Growth Lab cohort (supported by UNDP & Abia State Government).

In his latest feature with TheNiche, Chinonso breaks down the entire story, lessons, and vision behind the brand.
