I wasn’t planning on missing the apostrophe in (I’m)…But maybe I’m glad I did as it sparked a reminder…
This little corner of the internet has never really been about perfection💜
We started this page as a place to take words that inspired us and turn them into something colourful, playful and handmade. It was never about getting everything exactly right. It was about creating as a from of self expression✨
This felt like a message within a message 🥰
Over the last few years, I’ve spent so much of my time creating for other people… Bringing their ideas to life, helping them find their magic and making things I’m incredibly proud of.
I’ve evolved so much through that. Not just as a designer or illustrator, but as a creator and an artist.
Yet when I came back to this page, I found myself wondering how I was supposed to fit back into what already existed here.
What should I post?
What direction should I take?
Will people still want to see this? Honestly, I’ve been a little afraid to let it change.
This page has always been a space that was meant to evolve with us and I’m being reminded of just that as I write this.
Which brings me back to that missing apostrophe. I missed it accidentally. But I’m intentionally leaving it in there as a little reminder 💜
Because perhaps being more you is also about letting go of the need to make everything perfect.
💜Coming as you are
💜Expressing your mind
💜Saying the honest or hard thing
💜Letting yourself be seen while you’re still figuring it out
I’ve spent a lot of time going inward lately. Creating things quietly, keeping things close to my heart without feeling the need to share the process. I’ve really loved it… But I think I’m ready to open the door again.
The learnings through both the struggle and the joy. To turn those little pieces of life into colour, words, art and creativity… In the hope that maybe something here makes life feel a little lighter, a little more understood, or reminds someone that they aren’t alone in whatever they’re carrying.
All in the process of exploring creativity too 🎨
