Rich, creamy and deeply chocolatey, our whole-bean cacao is sourced from smallholder farmers in Brazil and Nicaragua, where it is grown through ethically from deforestation-free farming practices with respect for the small-holder farmers and land land it comes from.
Each batch is carefully fermented and sun-dried, never roasted, then handcrafted using traditional bean-to-bar methods and slowly stone-ground at low temperatures, preserving its naturally occurring cacao butter.
Cacao naturally contains theobromine, a compound related to caffeine, but with a gentler, longer-lasting stimulating effect, offering a more sustained energy compared to the spikes and crashes associated with coffee.
