Healthy & Wealthy 2.0

Healthy & Wealthy 2.0 Caregiver. Wellness advocate. Former educator. Helping women especially caregivers protect their health, peace, and income—without guilt.
💚 Health is wealth.

You can have both. I became a caregiver when my mom had a stroke—and like many caregivers, I gave everything. Her needs came first. My health came last. I gained weight, stayed tired, and stress brought back old health issues I thought were behind me. Somewhere between caregiving, survival mode, and doing “what had to be done,” I lost balance. That’s when I knew something had to change. Through na

tural nutritional support, my mom got what her body needed during recovery—and I finally started healing too. More energy. Less inflammation. Weight loss. And most importantly… hope. What I didn’t expect was that this same wellness path would also give me the ability to earn income from home—so I could stay present for my mom and my godchildren without sacrificing financial stability. That’s why I truly believe this:

💚 Health is wealth.
💚 You can have both.
💚 And caregivers deserve support too. This page is for anyone navigating caregiving, health, faith, and finances—especially if you’ve been putting yourself last. You matter here. We grow together. Nobody told me fibroids could affect so much more than my period. 👇

Most people talk about the heavy bleeding. But what about the constant fatigue? The bloating that seems to never go away? The brain fog that makes it hard to focus?

I wish someone had told me these can also be part of the journey.

For me, fibroids didn't just affect my cycle—they affected how I felt every day.

Here's part of what's happening:

• Heavy bleeding can lead to low iron, leaving you feeling tired and drained.
• Fibroids are associated with inflammation, which can leave your body feeling stressed and worn down.
• Hormonal changes may also affect your mood, sleep, and overall well-being.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that while every woman's journey is different, supporting your body with good nutrition and the right nutrients can make a meaningful difference alongside the care of your healthcare provider.

You don't have to ignore what your body is trying to tell you.

✨ Today's Focus:
Choose direction over distraction.

📖 Scripture:
"This is what the Lord says: 'Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.'" — Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV)

💭 Reflection:
Life presents us with countless choices every day. I've learned that clarity isn't about having more options—it's about recognizing which path aligns with God's purpose. Before rushing into another busy week, take a moment to pause, pray, and ask Him to direct your steps. The clearest path is the one that brings peace, even if it's not the easiest.

🌿 Have a clear and purpose-filled day.

🌿 August Intentions: Clarity

This month, I'm choosing clarity.

Not rushing.
Not striving.
Not trying to do everything.

Instead, I'm choosing to slow down, seek God's direction, and focus on what truly matters.

I'm praying for the wisdom to know what deserves my attention, the courage to say no to distractions, and the discipline to faithfully take the next step He places before me.

📖 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5–6

My prayer for August is simple:

May God bring clarity to our thoughts, our purpose, our decisions, and our next steps. May we walk with confidence, trusting that He is leading us one faithful step at a time.

Here's to a month of focused hearts, wise choices, and purposeful progress. 🌿

💛 Today's Focus – Trust the Process

📖 Scripture:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5

Today's Focus:
Stay faithful, even when you can't yet see the results.

Focus Thought:
Trust the process. I know I've said this before, but I believe it's worth repeating—even for myself.

Waiting can be difficult, especially when you've been putting in the effort. But I've learned that God is often working behind the scenes in ways I can't see. My job is to remain faithful, trust His timing, and keep showing up.

If you're in a season of waiting today, don't lose heart. Keep planting, keep praying, and keep trusting. 🌿

Have a faith-filled and focused day. 💛

One Step at A Time

📖 Scripture:
"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." — Proverbs 16:3

Today's Focus:
Big goals are reached through small, consistent steps.

Focus Thought:
Sometimes I get overwhelmed when I think about everything I need to accomplish. I've learned that I don't have to finish everything today—I just need to take the next faithful step. When I commit my plans to God and stay consistent, those small steps begin to add up.

Have a focused and productive day. 🌿

Wellness Wednesday: Supplement Timing 101 for Fibroid Support

Did you know when you take your supplements can matter almost as much as which ones you take? 💊✨

Here's a simple guide to help you build a smarter daily rhythm:

☀️ Morning: Vitamin D3 & DIM — pair with breakfast for better absorption
🍽️ With meals: Curcumin, Coral Calcium, Omega-3s — food helps reduce stomach upset & boosts uptake
🌙 Evening: Magnesium/Coral Calcium — supports rest & relaxation

💡 Pro tip: If you're taking iron for heavy cycles, keep it away from calcium, coffee, or tea — they can block absorption!

This isn't medical advice — always check with your doctor before starting a new supplement routine, especially if you're on other medications. 🩺💛

Today's Focus 💛

📖 "Abide in Me, and I in you." — John 15:4
📖 "Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

Focus thought: Be still. Spend 5 minutes in silence.

This morning, during my prayer and devotion time, I did something different.

Normally, I read my devotional, pray, listen to worship music, and speak my affirmations. But today's devotional challenged me to simply be still for five minutes. So I set a timer and sat quietly before God.

It honestly felt like the longest five minutes.

My mind wandered everywhere—my to-do list, what I needed to post today, what I was going to cook, and a dozen other thoughts. I realized how difficult it is to keep my attention fixed on one thing, even for just five minutes.

But in the middle of all that mental noise, God gently reminded me that stillness isn't about having a perfectly quiet mind. It's about making room for His presence. Every time my thoughts wandered, I had another opportunity to return my focus to Him.

I came away with two lessons:
✨ Staying focused is harder than we think.
✨ Stillness creates space for God to speak, even in the middle of our internal chaos.

I'm going to keep practicing this. My prayer is that, little by little, my heart becomes quieter, my focus becomes sharper, and I become more intentional in listening to what God has for me each day.

Maybe today, you can try five minutes too. You might be surprised by what happens when you simply abide.

Have a focused and peaceful day. 🌿

Today's Focus 💛

📖 “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12

Focus thought:

The older I get, the more I realize how precious time really is. I can't do everything, and I wasn't created to. God has been teaching me to be more intentional with my days—to slow down, seek His direction, and invest my time where it will make the greatest difference. Every day is an opportunity to grow, serve, and become more like Christ. I don't want to simply stay busy; I want to spend my time wisely.

Have a focused and wisdom-filled day. 🌿

☀️ As a caregiver, I've learned not to ignore what my body is trying to tell me.

There are days when I've been on my feet from morning until evening—helping my mom and godchildren, doing household chores, running errands, and making sure everyone else is okay. By the end of the day, my ankles feel tight, my legs feel heavy, and sometimes my shoes don't fit quite the same.

For a long time, I thought, "Maybe I just need to drink more water." While staying hydrated is important, I've learned that's only part of the picture.

Summer heat, standing for long periods, too much sodium, not moving enough, and even hormonal changes can all contribute to swelling.

That's why I wrote this article. I wanted to share what I've learned as both a caregiver and a wellness advocate, along with simple, practical ways to support your body during the hotter months.

If you're caring for someone else, please don't ignore your own health in the process. Your body deserves the same care and attention you so freely give to others.

💚 Read the full article (in the comments) and let me know which tip resonates with you the most.
