Faculty Development Training (FDT) Program Inaugurated 🎓
National Medical College, Birgunj, in collaboration with the Department of Medical Education, Institute of Medicine (IOM), Kathmandu, has officially commenced a six-day Faculty Development Training (FDT) program from 21–26 June 2026.
The inaugural session was chaired by Mr. Shahnawaz Ansari, Managing Director, National Medical College, and graced by distinguished academic leaders, including Prof. Dr. Suresh Uprety, Campus Chief of Maharajgunj Medical Campus, as Chief Guest, and Prof. Dr. Mohan Raj Sharma, Dean of IOM, as Special Guest via virtual participation.
This training aims to strengthen faculty competencies in:

✅ Student assessment and evaluation
✅ Curriculum management
✅ Research and academic excellence
✅ Professional development in medical education
Speaking at the event, Mr. Shahnawaz Ansari reaffirmed National Medical College’s commitment to academic excellence, quality medical education, and the continuous development of competent healthcare professionals. The college leadership emphasized the importance of faculty development in advancing educational standards and fostering innovation in medical teaching.
