*Inguinal Hernia in Female Dog:*
An inguinal hernia occurs when abdominal contents (like intestines, uterus, or fat) protrude through the inguinal canal into the groin area.
*Causes:*
- Congenital (present from birth)
- Trauma or increased abdominal pressure
- Pregnancy
- Obesity
- Hormonal influence
*Signs/Symptoms:*
- Swelling in the groin area
- Pain or discomfort
- Straining during urination or defecation
- Vomiting (if intestines are trapped)
- Lethargy and appetite loss (if strangulated)
*Diagnosis:*
- Physical examination
- Ultrasound or X-ray (to check contents and complications)
*Treatment:*
- *Surgical repair* is the only definitive treatment
- Hernia sac is opened
- Contents reduced back to abdomen
- Hernial ring is sutured closed
- Spaying is often recommended at the time of surgery, especially if uterus is involved
*Prognosis:*
- Good if treated early
- Poor if strangulated organs cause necrosis or infection.

Canine Parvovirus (CPV) is a highly contagious and potentially fatal viral disease in dogs, especially affecting puppies between 6 weeks to 6 months of age.

Cause:
- Caused by Canine Parvovirus ( CPV)
- Spread via f***s, contaminated surfaces, hands, shoes, etc.
- Very resistant in the environment—can survive for months.

Symptoms:
- Severe vomiting
- Foul-smelling, bloody diarrhea
- Fever
- Lethargy, loss of appetite
- Rapid dehydration
- Can lead to death if untreated

Diagnosis:
- Clinical signs + f***l antigen test
- Blood test shows low WBC count

Treatment:
- Supportive care only(no specific antiviral)
- IV fluids, antibiotics to prevent secondary infection
- *Antiemetics, probiotics, nutritional support
- Hospitalization is often required

Prevention:
- Vaccination starting at 6–8 weeks, repeated every 3–4 weeks till 16 weeks, then booster
- Disinfection with bleach (1:30 solution)
- Avoid exposure to infected dogs or contaminated areas

It is life-threatening, but early treatment and vaccination* are highly effective in prevention.
