Sharing yoga with my trekking buddies in the heart of the Nepali Himalayas. After a long day on the Manaslu Circuit, nothing resets the body and mind quite like a little stretching and mindfulness.

I had the honour to hold yoga classes in the beautiful shala at Varsana Eco Aldea | RETIROS ESPIRITUALES, near Bogotá, Colombia. Varsana is an intentional community and ecovillage devoted to Lord Krishna.

I had the blessing of sharing yoga with the teenagers at Focus Institute in Hala, Pakistan, as part of my volunteer work. 🧘‍♀️

Introducing them to the practice was an incredibly rewarding experience—one where I felt I was receiving just as much as I was giving. The exchange was authentic, the connection genuine. I keep very fond memories of my time at Focus, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who made it so special.

And as a little bonus… meet a goat from Hala, Pakistan. 🐐

Most people know yoga through the postures. The postures (āsana in Sanskrit) are actually just one of the eight limbs of yoga.

The yoga tradition actually began with a question: how do we calm the mind’s suffering? Patanjali’s answer: yoga citta vritti nirodha — yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.

Pranayama — yogic breathwork — is a core element of yoga. There are many different Pranayama techniques with different effects : energizing, balancing, or calming. Knowing which to use and when is essential for your practice.

I've written a guide covering 15 of the main pranayama techniques, organized by effect and the best time of day to practice each.

Most people have only tried one yoga style. One teacher, one studio, one way of moving.

But there are actually many different forms of yoga. Some are rooted in classical Indian traditions, such as Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga or Sivananda. Others are more modern, such as Vinyasa, Bikram, Yin or Restaurative.

That matters. If you came to yoga looking for something quiet and restorative, a Vinyasa flow class might have felt like the wrong room. If you were after a physical challenge, Restorative might have seemed pointless. Those reactions don't mean yoga isn't for you. They might just mean you haven't found the right door yet.

I wrote a guide to the main styles: what each one is, where it comes from, and who it tends to suit.
