My dear friends from around the world, thank you for your heartwarming messages, love, and concern for my family, friends, and country. Although my family and friends are safe, hundreds of our citizens have lost their lives and hundreds are still missing. The human, infrastructural, and economic devastation from this flash flood has been horrible. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts. And if you wish to donate to help us rebuild the nation, this is the official government portal to donate. Your donation will directly go to the Government of Nepal’s Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund. On this site, you can donate using your visa/mastercard. Nepali friends with bank accounts in Nepal can also donate using this same link. Thank you!

I'm very touched by your amazing reception and feedback to this post where I shared my phone conversation with the spouse of a patient I recently lost.
Every one who left a comment on the post or emailed me to share your thoughts, I am truly grateful that you took the time to write them and let me know how you felt. We are too quick these days to write hundreds of posts and emails to dunk on someone when we think they have done something wrong, but are quite miser in letting someone know that we appreciated what they did. Therefore, you taking the time to write these kind words really mean a lot. Thank you! https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/phone-call-taught-me-how-grieve-2026a1000puw
