🔥 WHO IS RESPONSIBLE AFTER A FACTORY FIRE? 🔥
Safety is a shared commitment, but accountability starts at the top.
Factory fire incidents can cause major loss of life, property damage, business interruption, and legal consequences. That is why every workplace must have a strong fire safety management system, emergency preparedness plan, regular inspection, and proper training.
As per safety requirements, the Employer / Occupier has the primary responsibility to provide and maintain a safe workplace, safe plant, safe systems of work, fire prevention arrangements, emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, and worker training.
The Fire Safety Officer / Safety Officer plays an important role as an advisor and facilitator by identifying hazards, assessing risks, recommending fire prevention controls, conducting training and drills, monitoring unsafe conditions, and supporting compliance.
But remember:
A Safety Officer alone cannot prevent every incident. Fire safety requires commitment from management, supervisors, workers, contractors, and emergency response teams.
✅ Identify fire hazards
✅ Maintain fire protection systems
✅ Conduct regular inspections
✅ Train workers
✅ Keep emergency plans ready
✅ Follow safety rules
✅ Report unsafe conditions
✅ Act before an incident happens
Be Safe • Follow Rules • Protect Lives • Stay Compliant
