FAITH OPENS THE DOOR TO WISDOM 🪷

श्रद्धावाँल्लभते ज्ञानं तत्परः संयतेन्द्रियः ।
ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्तिमचिरेणाधिगच्छति ॥

Śraddhāvān labhate jñānaṁ tat-paraḥ saṁyatendriyaḥ.

“The person with faith, dedication and disciplined senses attains knowledge.”

Faith here is not blind belief. It is the sincere openness that allows a person to learn, practise and remain committed.

Wisdom grows when we:

योगस्थः कुरु कर्माणि सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा धनञ्जय ।
सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्योः समो भूत्वा समत्वं योग उच्यते ॥

Siddhy-asiddhyoḥ samo bhūtvā samatvaṁ yoga ucyate.

“Remaining balanced in success and failure—this equanimity is called yoga.”

Inner balance does not mean becoming emotionless.

It means:

PURE FOOD, CLEAR MIND 🌱

आहारशुद्धौ सत्त्वशुद्धिः ।
सत्त्वशुद्धौ ध्रुवा स्मृतिः ॥

Āhāra-śuddhau sattva-śuddhiḥ,
sattva-śuddhau dhruvā smṛtiḥ.

“With purity of nourishment comes purity of mind; with purity of mind, memory becomes steady.”

Nourishment is more than what enters the mouth. It also includes what we repeatedly watch, read, hear and emotionally consume.

Mindful nourishment means:
• Choosing balanced and wholesome meals
• Eating slowly and gratefully
• Avoiding extreme or punishing food rules
• Drinking enough water
• Reducing harmful mental stimulation
• Choosing information that supports clarity

What nourishes the body and senses also influences the quality of the mind.

Tasmin sati śvāsa-praśvāsayor gati-vicchedaḥ prāṇāyāmaḥ.

“Pranayama is the regulation of the movement of inhalation and exhalation.”

The breath connects the physical body with attention and awareness.

When practising gently:
• Sit in a comfortable position
• Relax the face and shoulders
• Observe your natural breathing first

“From contentment comes unsurpassed happiness.”

Contentment does not mean abandoning ambition. It means refusing to postpone peace until everything becomes perfect.

Practise Santosha by:
• Beginning the day with gratitude
• Appreciating simple blessings
• Reducing unnecessary comparison
• Accepting the present while still growing
• Thanking people sincerely
• Recognising when enough is truly enough

Desire says, “I will be happy when…”

Contentment says, “I can grow while remaining grateful now.”

Peace grows where craving begins to soften.

यतो यतो निश्चरति मनश्चञ्चलमस्थिरम् ।

Yato yato niścarati manaś cañcalam asthiram,
tatas tato niyamyaitad ātmany eva vaśaṁ nayet.

“Wherever the restless mind wanders, bring it back again.”

Meditation is not the absence of thoughts.

The mind will wander.
Memories will arise.
Plans will appear.
Attention will drift.

This is normal.

The practice is the gentle return:
• Return to the breath
• Return to bodily awareness
• Return without anger
• Return without judging yourself
• Repeat as often as necessary

Every return strengthens steadiness.

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन ।

Karmaṇy evādhikāras te mā phaleṣu kadācana.

“You have a right to action, but never to its fruits.”

Much of our anxiety comes from trying to control outcomes that are not entirely in our hands.

The Bhagavad Gita reminds us:

• Give your best effort
• Act with sincerity
• Do not make results your only motivation
• Release obsessive attachment to success
• Do not use uncertainty as a reason to avoid action

You control your preparation, intention and effort—not every result.
