In times of disaster, support is not only about food, shelter, and physical safety. Emotional support matters too. ❤️
Floods and disasters can leave people feeling frightened, overwhelmed, uncertain, or alone. Psychological First Aid (PFA) gives us a simple way to support someone in distress:
👀 LOOK — Check for safety and immediate needs.
👂 LISTEN — Be present, patient, and non-judgmental.
🤝 LINK — Connect them with practical help, loved ones, services, or professional support when needed.
You don’t have to be a mental health professional to show compassion. Sometimes being there, listening, and helping someone find the right support can make a meaningful difference.
As Nepal faces the impact of floods, let’s look out for one another....with dignity, kindness, and care. 🇳🇵❤️
