Today marks the 40th anniversary of the iconic Cancer Society New Zealand | support, research & advocacy Daffodil Day where communities across Aotearoa come together to grow hope, improve cancer survival rates and change the experience of cancer.
Every single day around 81 New Zealanders hear the news "It's Cancer".
We never think it will affect us, but the reality is somewhere along the line it will. Whether it be personally or someone close to us.
The Cancer Society is the largest private funder of cancer related research in NZ. They provide invaluable support and services to those with cancer and those closest to them. Information helpline, transport to appointments and treatment, accommodation, councelling, physio. So many things that can be daunting, overwhelming and sometimes unattainable for people without the incredible work the Cancer Society does. All impossible without the generous support of the public and fundraising campaigns like Daffodil Day.
