Hospice Mid-Northland

Hospice Mid-Northland Ph 09 407 7799. [email protected] Care and support to those facing a life-limiting illness and to their family/whanau.

Hospice Mid-Northland is an incorporated society registered under the Charities Act 2005 and is partly funded by the Government, with the remainder sourced from donations and fundraising. We cover the area from Towai in the south to Taupo Bay in the north, and coast-to-coast in between, including South Hokianga. In the earlier days, we supported small numbers of families and this has risen to over

220 families annually since 2018. We have four retail stores, please donate to us. Donations can be dropped at the Green Shed @ 464 Kerikeri Road or we can pick up furniture to sell in our Furniture Shop.

🏃‍♂️ 350 km. Ten days. One extraordinary tribute.

Many locals will know Rhys Taylor from Churchill’s Fine Meats in Kerikeri. This August, Rhys’s son Max is taking on an incredible challenge in memory of his mum, Tessa, who died from melanoma ten years ago.

From 13 to 22 August, Max will run 35 km every day for ten consecutive days. That is 350 km in total, raising funds for melanoma research and hospice care.

The funds raised will go directly to Hospice New Zealand and Melanoma Institute Australia. We are very proud to support Max and help share this remarkable initiative with our community.

This is no small feat. We would love to see Northland, and all of Aotearoa, get behind Max by donating, sharing his story, or joining the 35 km walking and running challenge.

Go well, Max. We will be cheering you on every kilometre. 💙
