Have you ever considered a career in the funeral industry?
Shone and Shirley Funeral Directors is hosting an informal Open Evening for anyone curious about the profession and the people behind it.
Thursday 24 September at 7.00pm
Join our team for a relaxed conversation, a cuppa and some hands-on experiences. You’ll learn:
• Who we are and the story behind our journey
• What a funeral director’s role involves at Shone and Shirley
• What a typical day looks like—although no two days are ever the same
• The personal qualities and practical skills the role requires
• How we support families throughout the funeral process
You’ll also have the opportunity to experience some practical aspects of our work, including trimming a casket, safely handling stretchers and other equipment, and setting up for the families we care for.
We’ll talk honestly about the rewarding moments, the challenges, the importance of teamwork and confidentiality, and some of the things people don’t always realise before entering the profession.
There will be plenty of time to meet our team and ask the questions you’ve always wanted to ask. There’s no pressure and no obligation—just an opportunity to discover whether this meaningful profession might be right for you.
Numbers will be limited so that everyone receives plenty of time and individual attention.
