Chalk pastels from my high school days, rediscovered in a box filled with fragments of colour. Tiny pieces of the past, gathered together and crushed into dust. Making anew, from the old. So many layers, so many years, so much has changed, so much has not.

OCD does not mean you like neatness, order or perfection. Not everyone has "a little bit" of ADHD or autism. These are real diagnoses, with often distressing experiences/symptoms. Find out what they mean before using these terms as part of every day language.

A tidy desk becomes "OCD". Bored in a meeting? "ADHD". A disappointing exam result? "That was traumatising." It's part of the idea behind "concept creep".

2026 update: working from home in Feilding as an arts therapist. My "therapy dog" Lady has very sadly passed on. Now registered to work with ACC clients. No longer teaching yoga. My hair is mostly grey, my son is nearly 15. Still loving making a mess, at work and for me! Pictured: my finger painting on the work table 😁🤩
