At Hammond Davidson Ltd, we’re looking for an Office/Administration Support person to join our team based from our Gore and Riversdale offices.

This role suits someone who enjoys variety, likes working with fun people, and wants to be part of a workplace where the days fly by, there’s always plenty happening and there’s no shortage of laughs along the way.

You’ll help with reception, phones, administration support, payroll and tax administration (experience beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided), and keeping the day-to-day running smoothly, with flexibility around the role for the right person.

We’re proud of our rural roots, our local communities and the team culture we’ve built across our offices.

Flexible hours available. Full training provided.

Inland Revenue has now released the 2026 National Average Market Values (NAMV) for livestock under the Herd Scheme.

This year’s values reflect the stronger livestock markets seen across much of New Zealand, with noticeable increases across the sheep, beef and dairy sectors.

🐑 Sheep values have lifted following improved schedules and stronger demand, eg MA Ewes have lifted from $178 in 2025 to $237 in 2026.

🐄 Beef cattle values have continued to rise, supported by firm export returns and tighter supply, eg R2 steers have lifted from $1,741 in 2025 to $2,273 in 2026, and R2 Heifers have increased from $1,521 in 2025 to $1,959 in 2026.

🥛 Dairy values have also increased significantly, reflecting stronger farmgate payouts and renewed confidence in the sector, eg MA Cows have increased from $2,111 in 2025 to $2,824 in 2026.
