Took a lovely stretch class today and every single body in the class moved differently. Flexibility changes as we age and some bodies can become more flexible with the correct movement patterns. It’s never too late to add in more stretch patterns to your daily routines. Enjoy 😍

Functional fitness. You used to do this when you were young remember? Your body remembers so find monkey bars or a sturdy branch if you don’t go to the gym then let yourself hang and stretch. Fantastic way to strengthen grip strength and open up chest and shoulders. Give it a whirl 😍🤸

Believe me abdominals don’t ever get easier but we need to keep our core area strong so add these in to your routine, aiming for 5 minutes. Change direction, legs in air, feet onfloor with hand to knee reaches. Mix it up so your and won’t know what’s hit them 😆. Oh and have fun 👏

Lunge day. If you can’t fully lunge just take a big step forward, pause then step back. Repeat on other leg until you start to build up strength to bend both knees as you step forward. Great for ankles knee and hip joints so give these a go and have fun 🌞

Tricep work to tone up backs of arms plus helps with shoulder mobility if you can get your pole up over your head. Important joints, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Plus hips when you do your bending forward shoulder stretch. Enjoy 👏

Hip adduction which is adding and abduction which means taking away. Important exercise for hip stabilising muscles but you will feel these after just a few so enjoy and keep up the amazing work 😍

Slow and steady to stretch out your shoulders and back. Use something light or just your arms but the main aim is to fully lockout arms and stretch upwards with pause at the top. Enjoy 🤗

Wall sits. Aim for 5 second blocks, great for improving leg strength and you can choose your own range of motion until your legs get stronger and you can get to a 90 degree angle. Add in some shoulder flexibility work to take your mind off your burning quads 🔥😂 Enjoy and let me know how you go :)
