SEPIK Mission President Pastor Henry Monape officially opened the 10,000 Toes Ambassadors Training today, as 31 volunteers from across East Sepik Province commenced a week-long health workshop hosted by Sepik SDA Health Services.

The training, themed around the journey of a “Refuelled Body, Renewed Mind, Refreshed Spirit,” brings together participants from all over the province who will be equipped as Ambassadors for the 10,000 Toes Campaign, a community wellness initiative focused on preventing lifestyle disease throughout the Sepik region and the country.

By the end of the week, the 31 volunteers will be prepared to take on roles in wellness hubs, church teams and zoned community outreach, carrying practical health education and biometric screening directly into the communities of East Sepik Province, with a clear focus on prevention rather than cure...

Sepik Mission President Pastor Henry Monape officially opened the 10,000 Toes Ambassadors Training today, as 31 dedicated volunteers from across East Sepik Province began a week-long journey toward better health for their communities.

Hosted by Sepik SDA Health Services, this training is preparing everyday people to become health ambassadors, equipped to screen, educate, and walk alongside their communities in preventing lifestyle diseases like diabetes and other non-communicable conditions.

Most of the 31 participants come from local churches along the East and West Coast districts of Wewak, with one representative each joining from Angoram Town Church, Baimuru Church in Yangoru, Keith Ballard Memorial Church in Maprik, Wosera Gawi, and Ambunti, a true province-wide team coming together for one mission.

Led by Health Promotion Officer Miss Jeannel Joremari, with support from Health Director Mr. Daiven Watio, the week covers everything from biblical health principles to hands-on wellness screening and biometrics.

These 31 ambassadors will soon be on the ground in their own communities, bringing health, hope, and practical care where it's needed most.

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 | Today, a small dedication program was held at the Sepik Mission headquarters to pray over and dedicate two newly presented ambulance vehicles before they return to service at their respective health facilities.

The program was hosted by Sepik SDA Health Services, with the administration team of Sepik Mission leading in prayer for the ambulances and the facilities they will serve.

Sepik Mission also acknowledged Yangoru Saussia DDA for its continued instrumental support of the mission’s health facilities across the region.

We thank God for His guidance and pray these ambulances will be a blessing to many communities through timely and lifesaving service.

THE Papua New Guinea Union Mission’s Governance and Local Church Finance Training has arrived in Vanimo, with church leaders from across the Sandaun Province region gathering at Wara Stone Church for a dedicated program serving the western arm of Sepik Mission. Mission President Pastor Henry Monape travelled to Vanimo personally to accompany the two facilitators and oversee the delivery of the training.

The training is facilitated by Rex R. Rosas, Associate Chief Financial Officer for PNGUM, and Stephen Currow, Governance Development Officer for the South Pacific Division, who have been conducting this same program across the country….
