We are absolutely thrilled to share that our senior occupational therapist, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐮, 𝐎𝐓𝐑𝐏, 𝐌𝐀𝐎𝐓, 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐎𝐒 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠® 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 last July 9–12, 2026! ⭐️

An intensive, 5-day hybrid program combining deep-dive online learning with hands-on, in-person training, Teacher Carla has successfully completed this specialized training by Dr. Kay Toomey. 👏

Congratulations once again, Teacher Carla! Your constant drive to grow and apply evidence-based practices is truly inspiring. We can't wait to see how your new expertise helps our families turn stressful mealtimes into positive, joyful experiences! 🌟👶

Four of our therapists recently participated in the Children’s Summit 2026: Planning for Life: Every Child, Every Ability, and Every Possibility, where they gained valuable insights on 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Through opportunities like these, we continue to deepen our understanding and strengthen our practice to better support every child’s unique strengths, abilities, and potential.

One of our Occupational Therapists, Teacher Kahmil, recently attended an Animal-Assisted Intervention (AAI) Workshop, deepening her knowledge in integrating animal-assisted therapeutic approaches that support engagement, participation, emotional regulation, and motivation for clients—a meaningful step in her continuous learning journey, also reflected in a throwback to her first AAI training three years ago. 🩵
