Bringing Healthcare Beyond the Shore: Healthy Caravan 2026 in Brgy. Calayucay, Luna, Apayao

On May 20, 2026, the dedicated healthcare team of Amma Jadsac District Hospital (AJDH), together with the Provincial Health Office, RHU-Luna, and our hardworking Barangay Health Workers, successfully conducted the Healthy Caravan 2026 in the far-flung community of Brgy. Calayucay, Luna, Apayao.

Reaching Calayucay is no ordinary journey. It requires crossing the waters by boat, navigating challenging terrain, and enduring the scorching heat of the summer sun. Yet, despite the long and demanding trip, our healthcare workers remained steadfast in their commitment to bring essential health services closer to those who need them most.

Throughout the caravan, our clients benefited from various services, including medical consultations, pediatric care, dental services, surgical procedures, laboratory examinations, and family planning services.

This activity serves as a reminder that healthcare is not merely delivered within hospital walls—it is carried across rivers, through difficult routes, and into the heart of communities by people whose passion for service outweighs the challenges of the journey.

Today, April 28, we join the world in celebrating World Day for Safety and Health at Work.

At AJDH, we honor every worker whose dedication keeps our communities moving, healing, building, and growing. Behind every task is a person, a family, and a future worth protecting. Workplace safety is not just a policy—it is a responsibility and a shared commitment.

A safe and healthy workplace means more than preventing accidents. It means promoting wellness, supporting mental health, ensuring proper training, using the right protective equipment, and creating an environment where every worker feels valued and secure.

Let today remind us that no job should cost a life, an injury, or a person’s well-being. When we choose safety, we choose care. When we prioritize health, we protect dreams and livelihoods.

AJDH stands with all workers and employers in building workplaces where everyone can thrive safely, every single day.

Safe work today. Healthy future tomorrow.

Amma Jadsac District Hospital proudly celebrated National Women’s Month last March 31, 2026: a tribute to the strength, resilience, and heart of every woman in healthcare.

From the quiet courage behind long duty hours to the gentle compassion shown to every patient, our women are the unseen pillars who keep our hospital moving forward every single day. Their strength may not always be loud, but it is constant, powerful, and deeply inspiring.

Through yesterday’s activities—our joyful Cookfest, energizing Zumba sessions, and spirited Volleyball games—we celebrated not just wellness and camaraderie, but the incredible teamwork that defines who we are. These moments remind us that beyond our roles and responsibilities, we are a family—supporting, uplifting, and empowering one another.

To all the amazing women of Amma Jadsac District Hospital: your dedication, grace, and resilience do not go unnoticed. You are leaders, healers, nurturers, and changemakers. You carry both strength and compassion in equal measure, and because of you, lives are touched and hope is restored every day.

Here’s to celebrating YOU—not just this month, but every single day. 💐
