Am I Hypervigilant? 👀🤔
Hypervigilance is a state where your brain is constantly on high alert—even when there isn't an immediate danger. It often develops after experiencing trauma, chronic stress, or anxiety.
You *might* be hypervigilant if you:**
* 🚨 Always expect something bad to happen.
* 👀 Constantly scan your surroundings for danger.
* 😰 Feel tense or "on edge" most of the time.
* 😴 Have trouble relaxing or sleeping.
* 🔊 Get startled easily by sudden sounds or movements.
* 🤔 Overanalyze people's words, actions, or facial expressions.
* 🚪 Always need to know the nearest exit or feel safest facing the door.
✨Remember:✨
Experiencing one or two of these signs doesn't automatically mean you're hypervigilant. If these feelings are frequent, distressing, or interfere with your daily life, talking to a mental health professional can help.
💙 Hypervigilance is not a personality trait—it's often a survival response that can heal with the right support.🫂❤️🩹
