We are happy to be part of the Medical Mission and Cervical Cancer Screening Drive in Alegria, Murcia, held in celebration of the 45th Anniversary of Central Philippine Adventist College.

Our OB-GYN team provided FREE Pap smear screening to 25 women, helping strengthen cervical cancer awareness and emphasizing the importance of early detection and prevention.

The medical mission also brought together different healthcare teams offering free medical, pediatric, surgical, and dental services.

Thankful to our OB-GYN team who volunteered their time and expertise, and most especially to the women who took an important step toward protecting their health.

From our pioneer resident to our incoming Level IV—how time flies!

Congratulations, Dr. Wilmaree M. Tornalejo, as you officially move up from Level III to Level IV OB-GYN Residency Training!

We celebrate her recognition by the recent PBOG visit for advancement to Level IV, her consistent success in the RISE examinations, her research work nearing completion, and the international acceptance of her scholarly case report for an Interactive Scientific Poster Presentation at the AOFOG Congress in Sydney, Australia this October.

Congratulations as well on successfully completing your Level III Grand Rounds requirement. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Geroche and Dr. Olive Lindero for guiding and mentoring her through this case.

May God continue to guide you through this final year and the greater journey ahead.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Adventist Medical Center-Bacolod, in partnership with Bacolod City Health, successfully conducted another Family Planning Activity last July 28,2026, as part of our shared commitment to improving women’s reproductive health through evidence-based, compassionate, and accessible care.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our valued partners from Bacolod City Health for their unwavering collaboration in strengthening family planning services within our community.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to Dr. Marc Leong, Head of Community Health and Family Planning of the Department of OB-GYN, for his dedicated training and mentorship of our residents, particularly in developing their competency in the safe and effective insertion of progesterone implants.

To our OB-GYN residents, thank you for organizing a well-coordinated and meaningful program, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork. We also commend our post-graduate interns for their enthusiastic participation during the educational lectures.

This activity culminated in seven women choosing the progesterone implant as their contraceptive method representing another step toward healthier mothers, stronger families, and a community where reproductive decisions are supported with dignity, knowledge, and compassionate care.

Together, we continue to extend the healing ministry of Christ by transforming knowledge into service and service into healthier communities. ❤️❤️

Congratulations, Dr. Toni Marie H. Chavez! 🎉

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology proudly congratulates Dr. Toni Marie H. Chavez on her well-deserved promotion from Level II to Level III Residency Training.

This milestone reflects a year of remarkable growth and achievement. From earning Second Place in the POGS-NOC Interesting Case Presentation, having her scientific poster accepted for presentation at the Korean Society of Gynecologic Oncology (KSGO) Annual Convention in South Korea, and steadily progressing toward the completion of her qualitative research protocol.

We also commend Dr. Toni for her successful Grand Rounds and Clinico-Pathologic Case Discussion, and extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Villanueva and Dr. Bemyl Prescion for their invaluable mentorship and guidance throughout her academic journey.

As you begin your third year of residency, may you continue to lead with humility, serve with compassion, and pursue excellence in patient care, research, and medical education.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Adventist Medical Center-Bacolod successfully held its much-awaited Annual Battle of the Brainless: Hospital Feud, bringing together our outstanding Postgraduate Interns for an afternoon filled with laughter, friendly competition, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

It was a wonderful reminder that meaningful learning happens best when knowledge is combined with camaraderie, creativity, and fun.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Subspecialty Rotation

Today, we congratulate Dr. Marc Vision G. Capunong on the successful presentation of his Grand Rounds Case.

This presentation also carries special significance as it is Dr. Marc’s final Grand Rounds case presentation as a Second-Year OB-GYN Resident before advancing to Third-Year Residency Training. We look forward to witnessing his continued growth as he assumes greater responsibilities as a senior resident and future mentor to our junior trainees.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology extends its heartfelt gratitude to our consultant preceptors and reactors: Dr. Gatuslao, Dr. Rife, and Dr. Soyao for their invaluable guidance, insightful critiques, and unwavering commitment to resident education. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Adventist Medical Center-Bacolod successfully conducted our Maternal Care Activity, bringing together 19 wonderful expectant mothers for a morning filled with learning, fun, and fellowship.

Our moms enjoyed interactive prenatal lectures, exciting games, a fun-filled Zumba for Mommies, and valuable discussions on preparing for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. They also learned about the No Balance Billing Program, helping families access quality maternity care with greater confidence and peace of mind.

And of course, no one went home empty-handed! Every mommy received prizes, giveaways, and bags filled with useful freebies—because every mother deserves to feel celebrated throughout her pregnancy.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our pharmaceutical partners for their generous support and for walking alongside our mothers in this meaningful journey. Your partnership helped make today’s activity educational, enjoyable, and truly memorable.
