A patient of mine when I was still a surgical resident 3 years ago visited me recently at my clinic in pampanga. She lives in Olongapo and goes to Bataan General Hospital for check ups and surgeries.
When she found out that I no longer work there, she searched for me and traveled all the way to Pampanga to visit me and seek consult.
She was one of my unforgettable patients because she was the biggest thyroidectomy case I have ever done up until now. And seeing her 3 yrs post op with an almost invisible scar makes me feel so genuinely happy.
You know you've really done good and made a mark in a patient's life if he/she is willing to travel between provinces just to see you.
