Day 2 | Integrated Supportive Supervision and Mentoring (ISSM)

The second day of the Integrated Supportive Supervision and Mentoring (ISSM) activity focused on discussions with the Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) to assess the implementation of nutrition programs, review accomplishments, identify challenges, and strengthen strategies for achieving better nutrition outcomes in the municipality.

The activity concluded with an Exit Conference with our Honorable Mayor Mayor Jonny A. Wagas, where key findings, observations, and recommendations were presented. This provided an opportunity to discuss ways forward and reinforce the municipality’s commitment to the successful implementation of the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP).

We extend our sincere gratitude to our Honorable Mayor for the continued support, leadership, and dedication to nutrition and health initiatives. We also thank the Municipal Nutrition Committee members and partner stakeholders for their active participation and commitment to improving the well-being of every Basaynon.

Together, we continue to build a healthier, stronger, and more nutrition-responsive community.

Afternoon Session | Barangay Maglinao

As part of the Integrated Supportive Supervision and Mentoring (ISSM) activity under the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP), the team conducted a field visit to Barangay Maglinao to carry out interviews and supportive supervision with the Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and PMNP beneficiaries.

The activity provided an opportunity to assess program implementation, gather valuable insights from stakeholders, and strengthen local efforts in delivering nutrition services. We extend our appreciation to the barangay officials, frontline workers, and beneficiaries for their active participation and continued commitment to improving nutrition outcomes in the community.

Mommy, it’s never too late to try again! 💙 Mahalaga ang skin-to-skin contact at pagsisimula ng breastfeeding sa loob ng unang 90 minuto pagkapanganak upang makatulong sa exclusive breastfeeding ni baby. Pero kung napahinto man ito, posible pa ring makabalik through relactation—with the right support and guidance. 🤱✨

Habang nagre-relactate, maaaring humingi ng gabay sa mga doctor, breastfeeding counselor, health worker, at support group tungkol sa wet nursing, donor human milk, at iba pang paraan upang makatanggap pa rin si baby ng gatas ng ina.

Sa Safe Motherhood Week, sama-sama tayo tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas kung saan Bawat Buhay Mahalaga!

Karong adlawa sa “Aksyon Para sa Nutrisyon”, atong hatagan og pagtagad ang Importance of Antenatal Care ug ang kahinungdanon niini sa pagpanalipod sa kahimsog sa inahan ug sa bata.

Kauban nato karon ang atong bisita gikan sa Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP): Regional Project Officer nga si Ms. Norre Jean V. Delos.

Siya ang magahatag og dugang kahibalo ug technical discussion bahin sa antenatal care ug sa mga benepisyo niini sa mga nagmabdos nga inahan.

Ang Antenatal Care (ANC) mao ang preventive healthcare nga gihatag sa midwives o obstetricians gikan sa pagmabdos hangtod sa pagpanganak. Kini nagpasabot nga regular nga pag-atiman ug pag-monitor sa kahimsog sa inahan ug sa bata aron masiguro ang luwas ug himsog nga pagbuntis.

👥 Ang suporta sa pamilya ug komunidad importante kaayo aron ang mga buntis makapadayon sa ilang regular nga check-up ug makabaton og igong pag-atiman sa tibuok panahon sa pagmabdos hagtud sa pagpanganak.

📢 Busa, hinumdumi: Ang antenatal care dili lang simpleng check-up—kini usa ka kritikal nga proteksyon para sa kinabuhi sa inahan ug sa bata. 💚
