⚠️ MUNICIPAL PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AGAINST TRANSBOUNDARY HAZE
The Municipal Government of Buenavista, upon the recommendation of the Municipal Health Office (MHO), advises everyone to take necessary precautions due to the reported transboundary haze affecting parts of the Philippines.
Haze may contain fine particulate matter (PM2.5) that can affect the respiratory system, especially among children, senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with respiratory or heart conditions.
For everyone’s health and safety:
• Limit prolonged and strenuous outdoor activities when haze is visible.
• Vulnerable individuals are encouraged to stay indoors as much as possible.
• Wear a properly fitted N95/KN95 mask when outdoor exposure is necessary.
• Keep doors and windows closed when haze is noticeable.
• Avoid open burning of garbage, leaves, and other materials.
• Seek medical attention if you experience difficulty breathing, persistent coughing, wheezing, chest discomfort, or severe eye/throat irritation.
• Follow only official government updates and advisories.
The MHO, MDRRMO, and other concerned offices will continue monitoring the situation and issue further advisories when necessary.
Stay informed. Stay safe, Buenavistahanons! 💙
