Doctors from the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) are encouraging women to undergo regular cervical cancer screening and seek early treatment to help prevent cervical cancer and reduce related health risks.

During the Lambo Dyes radio program on May 25, NMMC gynecologic oncologist Dr. Divina Ghea Mata-Carillo said cervical cancer remains the second most common cancer among women. She said the disease often develops without noticeable symptoms in its early stages.

I was not in NMMC yet when she fought and survived Cervical Cancer. It has been 25 years since her diagnosis! Now she is a strong inspiration to our patients still
going through their treatment. Praise God for living miracles! 🤗💕
