IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Temporary Suspension of PhilHealth YAKAP Availment

To our valued patients and the community,

We regret to inform the public that Macalintal Doctor's Clinic will temporarily suspend the processing of PhilHealth YAKAP claims, effective immediately.

Why are we doing this?
As a private institution, we rely on timely reimbursements to sustain our operations, pay our staff, and maintain our facilities. While PhilHealth committed to a 30-day payment turnaround, we have pending claims dating back five (5) months.

The Current Situation:

Delayed Payments: Despite our compliance with all requirements, payments are over 150 days overdue.

Unresolved "System Errors": We have been repeatedly informed of "system errors" on their end. While we understand technical issues happen, these internal administrative delays should not be subsidized by healthcare providers who continue to serve the public.

What this means for you:
We remain committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based medical care. However, until PhilHealth settles its substantial arrears and proves it can honor its 30-day commitment, we cannot continue to absorb the costs of the Yakap program.

Patients may still book consultations as private payers. We will resume YAKAP services once PhilHealth demonstrates accountability and settles its obligations to our clinic.

We hope for your understanding as we take this stand to ensure the sustainability of our practice and the welfare of our medical team.
