🦠 LEPTOSPIROSIS: KEEP YOURSELF SAFE FROM THE HIDDEN DANGER! 🐀🌧️
During rainy days and flooding, the risk of leptospirosis increases. This disease is caused by bacteria (Leptospira) that can spread through water, mud, or food contaminated by the urine of infected animals—especially rats.
⚠️ Protect yourself and your family:
🥾 Wear boots or protective footwear and avoid wading in floodwater whenever possible.
🩹 Cover wounds with clean, waterproof dressings.
🧼 Wash your hands and body with clean water after exposure to floodwater.
💧 Drink only clean and safe water.
🏥 Seek medical attention promptly if you develop symptoms after exposure to floodwater.
Don’t wait for symptoms to worsen. Stay alert, stay protected, and stay safe! 💙
