Dr. Z took the stage at the PMA Convention held at Shangri-La EDSA last May 14, 2026 to discuss a growing concern in modern aesthetics — the prevention & recognition of complications from cosmetic procedures.
As more patients seek affordable and accessible aesthetic treatments, more doctors are also encountering devastating complications ranging from burns, infections, disfigurement, tissue necrosis, & even vascular occlusion that may lead to permanent blindness. Many of these cases are linked to procedures performed by non-medical individuals using questionable techniques & unverified products.
