In celebration of National Kidney Month 2026, the senator Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial District Hospital successfully conducted a kidney health awareness lecture to promote the importance of kidney disease prevention, early detection and healthy lifestyle practices.

Today marks the first outreach activity of our Bridging Dreams through Education Program at Maindang Elementary School, the first of five barangays that will receive assistance through the program involved the distribution of school supplies, slippers, nutritious caldo, and other essential items to support our learners' needs.

This initiative reflects the mission and vision of Senator Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial District Hospital to extend care beyond hospital walls and continue serving the community through meaningful outreach program that inspire hope and support education.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Governor Fredenil H. Castro and Congresswoman Baby Jane Castro for their unwavering support, trust and commitment to the programs that uplift the lives of our people. Your generosity and dedication makes activities like this possible.

PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS 2026

The Senator Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial District Hospital successfully conducted its Prostate Cancer Awareness Program on June 15, 2026, aimed at increasing public awareness on the prevention, early detection, and treatment of prostate cancer.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our guest speaker, Dr. John Timothy Biñas, Urologist, for sharing his expertise and valuable insights that enlightened participants on the importance of men's health and regular prostate cancer screening.

We also express our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Mark Anthony D. Basquez, OIC–Chief of Hospital I, for his unwavering support, leadership, and commitment to the success of this activity. His dedication to promoting health education and community wellness continues to inspire our efforts in delivering quality healthcare services.

Special thanks are likewise extended to Dr. Edison John Harion, Medical Officer III, for his invaluable contribution and continued support of the hospital's health promotion programs.

Building a healthier future, one school at a time!

SGMRMDH, through our Public Health Unit (PHU) and Adolescent Health KaBerks Clinic, is proud to join this year’s Brigada Eskwela 2026! We believe that health promotion goes beyond the walls of the hospital and community involvement is a major social responsibility of our institution.

Through the generosity of our hospital employees under the leadership of DR. MARK ANTHONY D. BASQUEZ, SGMRMDH donated dental & hygiene kits, face masks, alcohol and school supplies to help Dao Central School for the upcoming schools year.

The event was led by the OIC-Chief Nurse, Mrs. Helen C. De Asis, RN, MAN and the OPD Nurse Supervisor, Mr. Tallen P. Estorque, RN, MPA, MAN together with PHU program coordinators, Jacqueline Gomugda, RN and Peter John Villar, RN, Adolescent Health Coordinators in the persons of Queenie Faeldin, RN and Rhea Blasurca, RN

We believe that a healthy mind and body are just as important as clean classrooms. Beyond helping cleaning up the school grounds, our teams are here to ensure our students, teachers, and parents have access to vital health education and adolescent wellness support as the new school year approaches.

In observance of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, the Senator Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial District Public Health Unit lead by Jacqueline Gomugda and Peter John Villar, under the supervision of the OIC - Chief of Hospital Dr. Mark Anthony D. Basquez, organized a health lecture for OPD patients to raise awareness about cervical cancer prevention and early detection. The activity was attended by patients who actively listened and participated in the discussion.

The lecture was facilitated by Dr. Ria Joy Icabandi, OB-GYN Specialist who discussed the causes, signs and symptoms, risk factors, and preventive measures for cervical cancer, including HPV vaccination and regular screening. She emphasized the importance of early detection and encouraged women to undergo regular medical check-ups to protect their health.

The activity successfully provided valuable health information and increased awareness among OPD patients regarding cervical cancer and women’s health.

We are honored to have Dr. Jerrymae Blasurca, FPPS, DPIDSP, share expert insights on autism, early signs, and inclusive healthcare practices.
