After visiting the Philippine Heart Center last March 16, 2026, the Physical Therapy students from St. Dominic College of Asia once again explored one of the countryโ€™s leading medical institutions, the Lung Center of the Philippines on March 23, 2026.

This educational experience widened our understanding that PT is not limited only to sports, musculoskeletal, and neurological rehabilitation but is also important for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. Through this visit, we learned more about how physical therapists help individuals with respiratory disorders rebuild strength, improve breathing efficiency, and encourage overall functional independence.

The experience allowed us to witness firsthand the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in patient care, where collaboration among healthcare professionals is essential for optimal recovery.

On March 16, 2026, Physical Therapy students from St. Dominic College of Asia (2nd and 3rd year) visited one of the countryโ€™s leading medical institutions, the Philippine Heart Center, for their clinical immersion.

Their visit provided a better knowledge of interdisciplinary teamwork, patient care, and the value of compassion in healthcare. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the students were able to observe a variety of therapeutic procedures and learn about the day-to-day duties of physical therapists in a specialized medical context.

Experiences like this genuinely close the knowledge gap between the classroom and practical application, preparing future medical professionals to serve the community with ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž and ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง.
