In this crazy world that’s trying to make you like everyone else, the toughest battle you'll ever have to fight is the battle to be yourself. And as you’re fighting back, not everyone will like you. Sometimes people will call you names because you're “different.” That’s perfectly okay. The things that make you different are the things that make you YOU, and the right people will love you for it.

With all the health challenges I’ve faced these past four years, I sometimes wonder if I’ll ever fully return to the stage as a performer. One thing's certain though: I can still help artists grow, and discover their best. That’s why, through the years, I’ve continued saying yes to those who asked for guidance, mentorship, and direction.

Thankful to Octave Music Camp for believing that I still have something meaningful to share for their latest project.

Yes, this is me still making a life, still feeding my soul.
Not 100% anymore, but always ready to say yes, and give all that's left in the tank.🙏🏼

To the mental health providers who carry stories, silence, pain, and healing every single day - thank you.

Thank you for listening beyond words, for showing up even through compassion fatigue, emotional exhaustion, and the quiet heaviness this work sometimes brings. Healing others while carrying your own burdens is never easy.

And to those quietly doing the work while also trying to stay whole themselves… I see you too.

May we continue creating safe spaces for others, while remembering that we also deserve rest, grace, and healing of our own. 🤍

Just because you see something a certain way does not mean the rest of the world has to adjust to your mindset.

LENT reminds us that nothing here is truly ours - only entrusted to us for a time. May we use it to love deeper, give more, and leave goodness behind.

There are people who argue like it’s oxygen.
Not to understand. Just to win.
And I wonder if they ever feel the exhaustion of always needing to be right.

More than 30 years of theatre taught me projection, presence, power.
Illness taught me pause.
And pause is not the enemy of purpose.

Flash doesn’t apologize for his pace. He owns it.
Maybe that’s the lesson.

I may never perform the way I once did.
But perhaps this new rhythm is still a stage - just quieter, more intentional,
more sacred.

And maybe… just maybe…
slow is not the end of the story.
It’s simply the breath before the next line.

A "safe space" isn't just a physical location - it's a mental and emotional sanctuary where the "theatre" of our internal lives can play out without judgment. It’s where the mask can come off, and we can simply be.

Finding that refuge is essential for resilience. It might be found in:

A Place: A quiet corner in the mountains or a moment of absolute stillness.

A Person: Someone whose presence acts as a soft landing, where you feel fully seen and understood.

An Object: A tangible anchor - perhaps a well-worn book, a keepsake, or a familiar tool - that grounds you back to your center.

A Process: The rhythmic flow of a creative project or a deep personal passion.

Whatever form it takes, this refuge is the anchor that keeps us steady when the world feels too heavy.

May you find that sanctuary today - a space, a soul, or a simple reminder where you are safe, at peace, and entirely yourself.

More than three decades of waking up to this view - and it has been nothing but grace. 🌄

But the past few years have reminded me that even beautiful heights come with thin air. Living above sea level has been a gift… though my lungs and the elevation haven’t always agreed.😔
