Today, the Balamban Rural Health Unit 1, in close coordination with the Subnational Blood Center for Visayas, successfully conducted a Mobile Blood Donation Activity at the West Cebu Estate (WCE) in Buanoy, Balamban, Cebu.

💜 🩷MALAMPUSONG FAMILY PLANNING MONTH CULMINATION 2026 💜🩷

“Ang Pamilyang SMART, Panalo!”👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

Malampusong gisaulog sa Balamban Rural Health Unit III ang Family Planning Month Culmination karong September 16, 2026, nga gihimo sa Luca Covered Court. Ang maong kalihokan napuno sa kalipay, panaghiusa, ug aktibong partisipasyon sa atong mga pamilya ug komunidad. 🎉

Ang kalihokan gipangulohan ni Assistant Municipal Health Officer Dr. Jon Patrick Gonzalez , uban sa atong Public Health Nurse Ms. Sarev Buhia, RN, mga Nurse ug Midwives sa Balamban Rural Health Unit III, mga Nurses ubos sa Department of Health NHWSS, ug mga Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) sa Luca Health Center.

Usa ka dako ug espesyal nga pasalamat kang Mr. Filman P. Brobo, RN, MAN, Development Management Officer IV sa Department of Health – Central Visayas Center for Health Development, alang sa iyang walay puas nga suporta, dedikasyon, ug aktibong pagtabang aron mahimong malampuson ang atong kalihokan karong adlawa. 💚🙏

Dako usab among pasalamat sa Barangay Luca, nga gipangulohan ni Brgy. Captain Bienvenido Maunes, alang sa ilang mainitong suporta ug kooperasyon sa maong kalihokan. 💜 👏

Mapasalamaton usab kami sa mga pamilya ug katawhan gikan sa siyam (9) ka barangay nga sakop sa Balamban Rural Health Unit III tungod sa inyong aktibong pag-apil, suporta, ug pakigtambayayong sa mga programa alang sa kahimsog ug kaayuhan sa matag pamilya. 🙌

Padayon kita sa pagpalig-on sa matag pamilya pinaagi sa responsableng family planning, hustong impormasyon, ug access sa de-kalidad nga serbisyo panglawas.🩷💜

Lung Month Celebration Successfully Conducted in Balamban

The Lung Month Celebration was successfully conducted in the Municipality of Balamban, providing the community with access to free mobile chest X-ray services and health education activities.

The free chest X-ray services were brought closer to the community through the following venues:

Arpili Sports Complex – 128 clients served on August 24, 2026

Hingatmonan Sports Complex – 182 clients served on August 27, 2026

Baliwagan Sports Complex – 134 clients served on August 28, 2026

A total of 444 clients were served throughout the three-day community-based activity.

As part of the Lung Month Celebration, a No Smoking Symposium was also conducted to raise awareness about the harmful effects of smoking and promote healthier lifestyles among community members.

This meaningful activity would not have been possible without the strong support and partnership of our dedicated stakeholders.

Our sincere gratitude to the Department of Health – Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH CV CHD / Region VII), International Care Ministries Foundation, Inc. (ICM), and Mr. Filman P. Brobo, RN, MAN, Active Development Management Officer of the Department of Health – Central Visayas Center for Health Development, for their invaluable support, dedication, and partnership in making this activity possible.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the Barangay Captains of Arpili, Baliwagan, and Hingatmonan, the Barangay Councils for Health, and all the Barangay Councilors for their valuable support and cooperation in making this activity a success.

Dahil sa hanging Habagat, umabot na sa ilang bahagi ng Luzon at Visayas ang usok mula sa forest fires sa Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Maaaring magdulot ang haze ng hirap sa paghinga, pag-ubo, pananakit ng dibdib, pangangati o pagluluha ng mga mata, at paglala ng mga sakit sa baga tulad ng hika. Dobleng pag-iingat ang kailangan para sa mga bata, matatanda, at mga may dati nang sakit sa baga o puso.

Habang nagpapatuloy ang banta ng haze, mag-suot ng mask kung lalabas ng bahay. Alamin ang lagay ng hangin sa inyong lugar at unahin ang kaligtasan. Maging handa sa banta ng Haze!

🫁 National Lung Health Month | LIBRENG CHEST X-RAY

Alang sa pagsaulog sa National Lung Health Month karong Agosto 2026, malampuson nga nahimo ang Lung Health Screening ug Free Chest X-Ray pinaagi sa panaghiusa ug lig-on nga pakigtambayayong sa Balamban Rural Health Unit III – Municipality of Balamban, International Care Ministries (ICM), Provincial Health Office sa Province of Cebu, Department of Health (DOH), ug Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP).

Sa maong kalihokan, 151 ka kliyente ang nakabenepisyo ug nakapa-avail sa libre nga Chest X-Ray, isip kabahin sa atong padayon nga paningkamot alang sa sayo nga pag-ila ug pag-atiman sa mga sakit sa baga, ilabina ang Tuberculosis (TB).

🙏 Dako kaayong pasalamat sa International Care Ministries (ICM), Provincial Health Office sa Province of Cebu, Department of Health (DOH), ug Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) alang sa inyong walay puas nga suporta, kooperasyon, ug pakigtambayayong aron mahimong malampuson kining maong programa.

💙 Espesyal usab nga pasalamat sa Barangay Hingatmonan, ubos sa pagpanguna ni Hon. Raymond Panulde, alang sa mainiton nga pagdawat ug pag-accommodate sa maong kalihokan.

Ug labaw sa tanan, daghang salamat sa tanang Balambanganon sa inyong aktibong partisipasyon, pagsalig, ug padayon nga suporta sa mga programa alang sa kahimsog sa atong komunidad. 🙌

Ang pag-atiman sa kahimsog usa ka responsibilidad nga atong gipaambit. Magtinabangay kita alang sa mas himsog ug mas luwas nga Balamban! 🫁💙
