The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I, headed by Dr. Grace F. Cortez, Municipal Health Officer, continues its commitment to protecting children through the implementation of the Ligtas Tigdas 2026 Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) in Barangay Taminla, Buenavista, Guimaras.

The health team brought vaccination services closer to the community, providing eligible children with additional protection against measles and rubella. The activity also serves as an opportunity to remind parents and guardians of the importance of immunization in preventing vaccine-preventable diseases and protecting children from possible complications.

The successful conduct of the vaccination activity was made possible through the cooperation and support of the Barangay Officials, Barangay Health Workers, parents, guardians, and community members of Barangay Taminla.

The Community Pickleball Program initiated by the Municipality of Buenavista through the Buenavista Primary Care Facility I headed by Dr. Grace F. Cortez, Municipal Health Officer continues to gain momentum, with more and more Buenavistahanons coming together to enjoy the sport and embrace an active lifestyle.

What makes this initiative truly meaningful is the diversity of individuals now taking part. Students, senior citizens, teachers, municipal employees, and professionals from different fields are stepping onto the courts, proving that sports and physical activity have no age or professional boundaries.

More than simply being part of a growing sports trend, Community Pickleball is about building camaraderie, promoting sportsmanship, strengthening community engagement, and creating meaningful connections among Buenavistahanons. It provides an opportunity for people from different walks of life to come together, stay active, and enjoy a healthy and positive form of recreation.

The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I, headed by Dr. Grace F. Cortez, Municipal Health Officer, extends its heartfelt appreciation to every individual who continues to actively participate in this initiative and, most importantly, chooses health, physical activity, and well-being.

PHILHEALTH YAKAP PROFILING CARAVAN | BARANGAY SAWANG, BUENAVISTA, GUIMARAS

The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I, headed by Dr. Grace F. Cortez, Municipal Health Officer, successfully conducted a PhilHealth Yakap Profiling Caravan at Barangay Sawang, Buenavista, Guimaras, bringing essential health and government services closer to the community.

Residents were provided with PhilHealth Yakap registration, profiling, and updating of membership information, along with medical check-ups, dental services, and X-ray services, making essential healthcare services more accessible to the community.

As part of the activity, Mr. Aldee Gaitan, PhilHealth Yakap Point Person from the PhilHealth Guimaras Office, conducted an orientation on the PhilHealth Yakap Program, discussing its benefits and emphasizing the importance of keeping PhilHealth membership information updated.

The activity was further strengthened through the participation of PSA Guimaras and the Provincial Health Office, which provided additional services, including X-ray services, to the residents of Barangay Sawang.

The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Punong Barangay, Barangay Council, and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of Barangay Sawang for their valuable support, cooperation, and assistance in making the activity successful.

The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I, headed by Dr. Grace F. Cortez, Municipal Health Officer, continues to bring the Ligtas Tigdas 2026 Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) closer to communities through various vaccination sites across Buenavista, Guimaras.

Through the dedication of our health workers and the cooperation of parents, guardians, and communities, eligible children are being given access to measles and rubella vaccination in convenient and accessible locations.

The conduct of MR-SIA in different vaccination sites reflects our collective commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in this important public health campaign. Every vaccination brings us one step closer to a community better protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.
