In a dedicated effort to ensure public safety during the peak of the 2026 Dinagyang festivities, the Emergency Responders of Iloilo (EROI), in collaboration with the Iloilo Province Clinic, have established a strategic medical post at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol. Under the leadership of Dr. Don Garcia, the team is providing round-the-clock medical oversight for the inaugural night of the Kasadyahan and Dinagyang food festival. Their presence is vital not only for the thousands of customers and food enthusiasts flocking to the Capitol grounds but also as a primary safety net for the Maintenance Division personnel tasked with the heavy lifting of installing festival infrastructure.

The Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan Opening Salvo 2026 was held with great energy and cultural pride on January 10, 2026, at the Iloilo Sports Complex. As a major highlight of the month-long Dinagyang Festival, this annual event featured vibrant teaser performances from eight participating municipalities, each showcasing their unique local traditions, talents, and products.
The competing tribes included:
Jimanban Festival (New Lucena)
Kahilwayan Festival (Santa Barbara)
Salakayan Festival (Miagao)
Pagnahi-an Festival (Bingawan)
Tultugan Festival (Maasin)
Kasag Festival (Banate)
Tawili Festival (San Rafael)
Banaag Festival (Anilao)

To ensure the safety of both the thousands of spectators and the performers, the Emergency Responders of Iloilo (EROI), Iloilo Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), along with the Provincial Clinic and various emergency responders, rendered continuous medical services throughout the festivities. These teams provided a swift and organized response, maintaining a secure environment as the province celebrated its "Fun, Foodie, Friendly" identity and its commitment to a "Green, Grateful, and Growing" Iloilo.
