Recognized as one of UNSW School of Marketing’s top teachers in 2025, her work highlights strengths-based, self-determination, and meaningful support for individuals with Autism and Intellectual Disability.

Through this lecture, we will explore 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗨𝗗𝗟)—its principles—and gain remarkable insights that can help ustake another brave step to a 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀.

More than a learning session, this is a chance for us pre-service teachers to learn from someone whose experiences and expertise can broaden the way we see inclusion and inspire us to create classrooms where every learner feels seen, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive.

We are proud to bring Project TUWANG: Filipino Sign Language and Autism Awareness Workshop for Government Frontliners to life!

This project was made possible after JCI Iloilo Ilang Ilang was named the Area IV Winner of the JCI Philippines Sustain360 Project Pitching Challenge 2026. What started as an idea we believed in is now an opportunity to create something meaningful for our government frontliners and the communities they serve.

On August 24, we will gather government frontline workers for a day of learning about Filipino Sign Language and Autism Awareness—because better understanding can make a real difference in how we communicate and provide service.

A Heartfelt Homecoming 🏠

From clinic milestones to school adventures, Ella is ready for the next big chapter! 🎒✨

Our hearts are absolutely overflowing reading a heartwarming message from one of our wonderful parents, Mommy Jazryl Tinte.

After three incredible years of dedication, growth, and celebrating every single victory together, our amazing Ella is transitioning from her regular therapy sessions to focus on her exciting new school journey!

When clinical knowledge meets creative storytelling, beautiful things happen. ✨

We are so proud to feature our collaboration with the brilliant illustrator, Bea Tan Barros.

Bea is the illustrator behind Dr Ranj's Human Body Encyclopedia, a children's book written by beloved TV doctor Dr Ranj Singh and published by DK Books. By pairing colorful, engaging artwork with expert facts, Bea beautifully breaks down human biology, health, and body systems for 7 to 9-year-olds. She is a perfect partner to help our team explore the art of child-centered design. 🎨

Bea joined the PlayAbilities team virtually to dive into her presentation, "Visualizing the Self: Beyond Anatomy." She walked us through her design process for illustrating the human body for children, showing us firsthand how creative storytelling can turn complex medical facts into empowering, joyful tools for child self-advocacy and body agency.

During the collaboration, our team put these ideas straight into action! We took part in an interactive drawing activity to design a ‘nervous system’ that feels safe and understandable, rather than scary or broken. It was a powerful exercise in re-imagining how we visually communicate internal experiences to the children we support. 🧠🥰

At PlayAbilities, we are constantly using these collaborative insights to help us simplify our clinical language, think outside traditional healthcare boundaries, and always center a child’s unique, lived experience of the world! ❤️💛

After completing her internship with us, Miquee fell in love with our approach and decided there was no better place to start her professional journey. Choosing PlayAbilities as her first professional home, she is dedicated to leading with kindness, connection, and compassion. ✨ We’ve watched her grow from a dedicated student into a clinician who truly understands that a safe, supportive relationship is the foundation of all progress. We are so honored to be part of her first chapter! ❤️💛
