That winning feeling 🖤❤️
This little stallion has brought so much joy back into my life.
After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 6 months ago in November 2025, there were moments when I felt afraid and uncertain about what the future would look like. What I didn’t expect was that horses come back into my life and be such an important part of my support system.
Just two months ago, Boothroyden Mathius came into my world as I climbed back into the saddle after having spent 16 years away from the show ring.
This weekend, at only our second show together, we won our class and went on to take the Championship at the Croft Top Equestrian Centre
The rosette is lovely, but what means the most is being reminded that duality still exists on the other side of difficult seasons. For a few minutes in that ring, I wasn’t thinking about MRI scans, my symptoms or anticipated grief. I was simply enjoying something I love.
A huge thank you to my wife Rachel for standing by my side and capturing these moments. It seems our photoshoots are taking a rather different direction these days! 😂🐴📸
