PSYZYGY MABALACAT OFFICIALLY PARTNERS WITH MABALACAT CITY COLLEGE (MCC)

“Kamusta Ka?” : Supporting Student Leaders in Su***de Prevention & Mental Health Awareness

On September 24, 2026, Psyzygy Psychological Center, Inc. Mabalacat officially entered into a partnership with Mabalacat City College (MCC) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing held at Mabalacat City College, Rizal Street, Barangay Dolores, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

The partnership brings together Psyzygy Mabalacat and MCC in strengthening mental health awareness and su***de prevention efforts, while supporting students in becoming more informed, compassionate, and responsive advocates for mental health within their community.

Representing Psyzygy Psychological Center, Inc. - Mabalacat Branch are Dr. Josevy Taguibao, RGC, RPsy, LPT, Clinical Director, and Mr. John Michael D. Taguibao, Chief Technology Officer. Meanwhile, Mabalacat City College (MCC) was represented by Marilyn S. Arcilla, PhD, RN, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Jennyfer N. Merza, MBA, Vice President for Extension; and Edmon Y. Sampana, PhD, LPT, Director of Student Affairs and Services.

As part of the partnership, a seminar entitled “Understanding Su***de: Risk Factors, Warning Signs & Prevention” was conducted to equip student leaders with greater awareness and understanding of su***de prevention, including recognizing potential warning signs and identifying ways to respond and connect individuals with appropriate support. The seminar was conducted by our Clinical Affiliates: Ms. Apple Apply Joyce Dizon, Ms. Jeremei B. Torrecampo and Sir Gerardo D. Dizon

As part of the event, Psyzygy Psychological Center, Inc. also set up a mental health booth where students and participants could engage with the team and learn more about mental health and available psychological support services. The booth was facilitated by Psyzygy members Mr. Sean Christian Maniquis, RPm, and Mr. Angelo Alfaro, who assisted participants and helped create a welcoming space for conversations surrounding mental health and well-being.

Through “Kamusta Ka?”, Psyzygy and Mabalacat City College continue to create spaces where mental health conversations are encouraged, support is accessible, and student leaders are empowered to look out for one another.

Because sometimes, a simple “Kamusta ka?” can open the door to a conversation that someone may truly need.

Sometimes, the person who needs help the most is the one who keeps saying, “Okay lang ako.”

They may still go to work.
They may still laugh with friends.
They may still reply to messages and show up for everyone else.

During the MCCAT-VAWC 3rd Quarter Meeting for Calendar Year 2026 held on August 27, 2026, Psyzygy Psychological Center, Inc. joined the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) aimed at strengthening and institutionalizing the operational and program support of the MCCAT-VAWC and its Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).

Psyzygy Psychological Center, Inc. is pleased to share the participation of Dr. Josevy A. Taguibao, RPsy, RGC, LPT, Clinic/Managing Director and Corporate Vice President for Internal Affairs, as a Resource Speaker during the 3rd Patient Support Group (PSG) Meeting held on August 21, 2026, at Hotel Seoul, Clark, Pampanga.

Dr. Taguibao facilitated an interactive session on Mental Health Awareness and Psychosocial Support, engaging participants in meaningful reflection, emotional check-ins, practical coping strategies, and conversations on resilience and well-being.

We extend our appreciation to LAKAN Network for the invitation and recognition, and for creating spaces where mental health and psychosocial well-being remain an important part of community support.

We are proud to share the participation of Dr. Josevy A. Taguibao, RPsy, RGC, LPT, Clinic/Managing Director and Vice President for Internal Affairs of Psyzygy Psychological Center, Inc., at the 8th IPCAP Midyear Convention, held on August 19–20, 2026.

On Day 1, Dr. Taguibao delivered the Keynote Address, “Expanding Horizons: Strengthening Contextualized and Culturally Responsive Counselling Across Diverse Communities.”

On Day 2, she served as a Plenary Speaker for the session on “Trauma-Informed Interventions: Best Practices for Supporting Victims of Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM).”

We are grateful for opportunities such as these to contribute to conversations that strengthen culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and ethical mental health practice in our communities.
