💼👨‍👩‍👦 EMPOWERING FATHERS, STRENGTHENING FAMILIES: SUCCESSFUL TWO-DAY INTENSIVE ERPAT TRAINING COMPLETED!

The Office of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO), in close coordination with the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), successfully conducted a Two-Day Intensive ERPAT (Empowerment and Reaffirmation on Paternal Abilities) Training last May 5 & 6, 2026, at the New Municipal Hall Function Hall.

We are immensely joyful and grateful for the active participation of our dedicated volunteers and community leaders. Through dynamic workshops and engaging sessions—including crucial discussions on the distinction between s*x and gender—our participants gained valuable insights into paternal responsibilities, gender sensitivity, and positive family leadership.

By equipping our fathers and male community leaders with the right tools and perspectives, we are fostering safer, more supportive, and progressive households across Madridejos.

We extend our special thanks to the DSWD Field Office VII for granting our request and providing an exceptional resource speaker for this training. Thank you for your continued partnership and unwavering support!

The Municipality of Madridejos through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office in Cooperation with Legal Alternatives for Women, Inc. (LAW, INC.) has successfully conducted a two-days intensive Community-Based Paralegal Skills Training (Phase 1) .

This training centered on Legal Empowerment. By training community-based paralegals (such as Barangay Captains, Brgy. Councilors, Brgy. Secretaries, Brgy. GAD Focal, Brgy. VAWC Desk Officers) , the MSWDO creates a frontline "legal first-aid" system where the community is empowered to understand and navigate the law themselves.

We thank our Municipal Mayor Engr. Romeo Villaceran and Ma'am Violy for your unwavering support to community development and empowerment. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Resource Speakers from LAW, Inc. for their dedication, time, knowledge and expertise during the training.
We hope and look forward for opportunities to learn from you in the future.

Let us all work together for the protection and safety of the vulnerable sectors of our society (women, children, senior citizens and PWDs).
