I asked ChatGPT a question I honestly didn’t expect to ask:

“If you were a person, would you practice Reiki?”

I expected a very AI answer.

Instead, its response made me stop and think.

Not because it suddenly “believes” in Reiki. It doesn’t have beliefs.

But because the way it approached the question raised something much more interesting:

Can we be open to an experience without pretending we completely understand it?

Can something be meaningful even when science hasn’t fully explained how it works?

And can we explore spirituality while still keeping our discernment?

So I asked ChatGPT to think about Reiki from the perspective of someone who was curious, but not blindly convinced.

Its answer surprised me.

I wrote about the conversation here:

“I Asked ChatGPT If It Would Practice Reiki. Here’s What It Said.”

I’d genuinely love to know what you think after reading it. 🤍

This came up at Bible study today.

And honestly, it made me reflect on a question I’ve been asked many times:

Can you be Christian and practice Reiki?

I found myself explaining what Reiki actually means to me, what I believe about God, and why my Reiki practice has never felt like a departure from my faith.

In fact, my experience has been quite the opposite.

There are things I said in that conversation that I’ve never really written about publicly before.

So I wrote about it.

Not to convince anyone to practice Reiki.
Not to argue theology.
And definitely not to tell anyone what they should believe.

Just to share my perspective as someone who deeply believes in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit… and is also a Reiki Master.

If you've ever wondered how those two parts of my life can possibly coexist, this one's for you.

Is Reiki against Christianity? A Christian Reiki Master shares why she practices Reiki, believes in Jesus Christ, and sees Reiki as a way to experience God's presence.

I wish I could show you what this room felt like. 🤍

These photos show me facilitating a Reiki technique during the 8th Philippine Reiki National Conference 2026, but they only capture a fraction of what was happening in that room.

I wish I had been able to take a photo of everyone.

Not just the people.

But the energy.

The stillness.

The peace.

The feeling of a large group of people breathing, meditating, and turning inward together.

There is something incredibly powerful about practicing in community.

We each arrive carrying our own thoughts, emotions, stories, and intentions.

And then, for a few moments, we become still together.

No need to perform.
No need to explain.
No need to fix anything.

Just breathe.

Just be.

And somehow, the energy of that collective stillness becomes something you can almost feel in the room.

One person's peace can be felt by another.

And when many people choose peace at the same time, something shifts.

Perhaps this is one of the quiet gifts of meditation:

We remember that we are not practicing alone.

I didn't get the photo I wanted.

But I got to experience the moment.

And maybe some moments are too expansive to fit inside a photograph anyway. ✨

Thank you to everyone who shared their presence, their openness, and their energy with us at the Reiki Conference.

What a beautiful room to have been part of. 🤍

Reiki will always be Reiki. It is the same Reiki in the past, present, and future. If you're still focused on the differences and believe your version is "better", then you totally missed the point.

There are days when I wonder if what I do truly makes a difference.

Then a message like this comes in.

Thank you for your trust. Thank you for showing up for yourself. And thank you for reminding me that holding space with compassion can be enough to help someone take their next step.

I don't take that privilege lightly.
