Currently revisiting a favorite read, "Hombres de Maiz" ni Miguel Angel Asturias ng Guatemala.

Binasa namin ito sa klase sa MA for Panitikan ng Pilipinas at Ikatlong Daigdig (3rd World Lit) under Prop. Mykel Francis Andrada.

I also did a translation of this in Filipino on selected chapters. (Sa mga students na interesado sa salin ko, just message me kung kailangan niyo ng pantulong na teksto)

Napaka rich basahin muli nito ngayon na may imprint na sa akin yung mga End Notes nito and other cultural backdrop overview na nakalap ko para mas makapasok  sa different layers of meaning na nililikha ni Asturias.

I am also taking my time on appreciating the beautiful book cover on this Penguin Classics version of the book.

Sa mga naghahanap ng kahilera ni Gabriel Garcia Marquez, try niyo rin tong novel na to.
