At 9 months, your baby received 2 vaccines:
1. Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) – 2nd dose (booster)
* Given as an injection in the thigh.
* Protects against serious infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, such as pneumonia, meningitis, and bloodstream infections.
2. Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) – 1st dose
* Given as an injection in the upper arm (shoulder).
* Protects against measles, mumps, and rubella.
