Stay Safe During the Typhoon and Rainy Season
The rainy season brings unpredictable weather conditions that may affect our safety and daily routines. The Guidance and Testing Center encourages all students to remain alert, prepared, and prioritize their well-being at all times.
π‘οΈ Safety Reminders:
β Check the weather forecast before leaving home and monitor official announcements from your Local Government Unit (LGU), PAGASA, and the College.
π Stay indoors whenever possible during heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, or strong winds. Avoid unnecessary travel.
πΆ Avoid flooded areas. Never attempt to walk or ride through floodwaters, as they may conceal open canals, electrical hazards, or strong currents.
π Travel safely. If you need to commute, choose reputable public transportation, inform your family of your destination, and share the vehicle's plate number whenever possible.
π± Keep your mobile phone charged and save important emergency contact numbers, including your family members and local emergency responders.
π Prepare an emergency kit containing drinking water, snacks, flashlight, batteries, power bank, medications, and important documents stored in a waterproof bag.
β‘ Stay away from electrical hazards. Do not touch electrical wires or use plugged-in appliances if there is flooding inside your home.
π¨βπ©βπ§ Keep your family informed of your whereabouts and immediately notify them if your plans change.
