Day 1 of Dance Training: Move, Grove, and Improve ( in partnership with Mental Health Drive Advocate of Mountain Province)
A group of eager and enthusiastic individuals gathered together, ready to embark on a journey of rhythm, movement, and self-expression. The day was set for the first dance training session, and the air was filled with anticipation and excitement.
The day started at 9:00 am with registration. The participants arrived, each bringing their own unique energy and excitement to the mix. The room buzzed with the sounds of friendly chatter and laughter, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
At 9:30 am, the opening program commenced with a heartfelt prayer led by Myra Acosta. Her words echoed through the room, setting a tone of unity and harmony. This was followed by opening remarks by Jayleen Sabling. She spoke passionately about the importance of finding ways to cope with depression and stress, highlighting the therapeutic power of dance. Instead of succumbing to negative emotions and thoughts, she encouraged everyone to dance their worries away. Her words struck a chord with everyone present, resonating with their own experiences and aspirations.
The program continued with an engaging ice-breaker session where each participant introduced themselves with a dance move before saying their names. This fun and innovative way of introductions not only broke the ice but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among the participants. It was a beautiful sight to see everyone expressing themselves through dance and building friendships in the process.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for, the start of the training. The trainer, Sir Adam, kicked off the session with warm-up activities. He expertly guided everyone through the exercises, preparing their bodies for the vigorous dance routines to come.
The training session was a whirlwind of different dance styles, from the energetic b-boying and bebots to the graceful and intricate ethnic dance. Each style was a new challenge, a new opportunity for the participants to push their boundaries and discover their potential. The room was filled with the sounds of music and rhythmic footsteps, punctuated by laughter and words of encouragement.
As the day came to a close, the participants were left with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation. They had not only learned new dance moves but also made new friends and discovered new ways to express themselves. The training would continue the next day, and everyone was eager to continue their journey of dance and self-discovery.
and so, the first day of dance training ended on a high note, leaving everyone with a sense of excitement for what the next day would bring. It was a day of learning, growth, and most importantly, fun. After all, isn't that what dance is all about? ๐ถ๐๐บ
